Fortnite just executed another really cool one-time live special event in everyone' favorite battle royale game. I was lucky enough to jump into the game and boogie down with my squad at with Marshmello. The electronic music phenom threw a free concert in Fortnite. What a time to be alive. Please take a look.

You may have noticed that I deployed my glider right as the gravity changed in the level. That was pretty random, but overall the show was really fun. Fortnite has been breaking ground in video games with special one time events like rocket launches, meteors, and fun times with cubes

Check out this awesome conversation between Fortnite Worldwide Creative Director Don Mustard and Marshmello that was captured right after the concert went off without a hitch. The musical performance was truly impressive and Pleasant Park was an absolute delight.

"I am like still just shaking," said Mustard. "Can’t thank everyone involved in making this happen enough. So lucky I get to work with the smartest, most passionate, visionaries ever."

It's the vision of the team at Epic Games that lead us to give them the Shacknews Award for Best Developer of 2018. We look forward to the next ridiculously cool one-time event that they have planned for Fortnite players.
