COVID LEVELS LOW IN THE COUNTY
The Centers for Disease Control’s new COVID-19 Community Level tool classifies every county in the U.S. into low, medium, or high. Knowing the COVID-19 Community Level in your area will help determine what prevention measures are needed to protect yourself and your loved ones, as well as decrease strain on hospitals and health systems.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Prince George’s County’s COVID-19’s Community Level is currently “low,” so let’s stay in the green Prince Georgians! The County Health Department encourages residents to help keep the County’s COVID-19 level low by:
- Getting vaccinated and boosted, if eligible.
- Getting tested if you feel sick or were exposed to a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 and following CDC isolation and quarantine guidance.
Keeping a mask handy as some places may still require you to wear a face covering. We encourage you to continue to wear a mask if it makes you more comfortable.
