TAKE NOTE: Transnet warns of job scams

The company said the scamsters are including the names of its executives in the false documentation.

TRANSNET Freight Rail cautioned members of the public about job scams which have resurfaced around the country.

In a statement the company noted that the scams now include the names of Transnet executives in the false advertisements.

“There are also instances where individuals have travelled great distances in order to attend ‘job interviews’ only to be greeted with disappointment on discovering the whole thing to be a scam,” read the statement.

The company appealed to job seekers to exercise caution when applying for jobs, particularly in instances where individuals are required to pay money in exchange for job placements.
