This room is comically bad. Like almost everything about it is downright disgusting or repulsive. I will start with the positives.
1)It was cheap as hell.
2) homeboy at the front desk was courtesy and cool
I am not going to number off the negatives because I can't count that high.
I will just give you the highlights.
Before I even got the room, I parked one spot away. The neighbors immediately peeked out through the curtains. So this could be good or bad. Either the tweekers will be looking out of the curtains every time the wind blows out of paranoia and scare off any potential car jackers, or they are gonna steal my catalytic converter as soon as i fall asleep.
Open the door. Smells like someone smoked a pack of cigarrettes in here 5 minutes before I arrived. I actually thought someone was in the bathroom still smoking one. Normally, the managers give you the no smoking speech at every telly upon check in, but not this one! No warning about deposits or anything. Anything goes here. My guess this is straight up for prostitues and drug binges.
Light switch doesn't work. Doesn't seem normal. But the tv was left one as a substitute, I guess? What a warm welcome!
The carpet looks like it has struggled through multiple suicide attempts. I don't recommend walking on it in socks. May want to throw out your shoes too afterward.
The ac unit is trucking along, but it looks like it has done 5 stints in the battered women's shelter. With each gust of air, I can hear her thinking "Imma do better. I just won't do that again." AC temp reads 29, but on closer inspection, the whole faceplate is upside down, so it's actually 62. It like a funhouse in here!
I particularly like the scratch marks on the top of the fridge. Someone was probably twacked out of their mind and chopping up their line so hard it scratched the paint off the top of the appliance. I wish I was there to see that because I'm sure they didn't realize it until it was too late.
The mattress feels like a ball of goo. I think the sheets are clean. Idk tho. I am like 1.5/10 comfortable sleeping of this thing. Considering sleeping in my car. The pillow feels like it has been weighted down by 5 years of satan's sweat. I am not laying on that thing. 0/10 I gotta take some pictures and atttach them.
Bathroom- toilet is making noises like a grumpy old man. He just won't shut up. Didn't look clean upon arrival. The porta potty that i was at in Baltimore earlier was on par with toilet. (Ok, that was hyperbole-but it still wasn't clean enough for a new guest)
Is it even legal to sell a room like this?
The tub is a nightmare. It has more rings than uranus. I took a shower, but wore my damn sandals. The towels provided are probably dirtier than my anus (pre shower) dm me later and we can compare if you wanna get scientific about it lol
There are dents everywhere, so you can only imagine the number of times the cops have been called here for physical abuse cases taking place in room 112. What did Biggie say in that feature, "one room 112, where the players dwell." I don't think it was this motel. I wonder if there has been a murder in this room. I'm probably kicking it with a ghost rn. Better not be a blind incubus. Maybe he can pose as an intermediate to contact my grandpa. If so, I will boost up the rating to two stars.
Overall, this is the worst room I have ever seen, to the point it is funny. It will be a topic of conversation for years to come...assuming I survive the rest of the night.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Juliet V.Everett, WA83612Jun 6, 2023
I came across the country to visit my boyfriend's family with him. After six years, we had our first big tiff. (Rotten timing!) I just wanted some space so I booked a hotel five minutes away (this one) and called an Uber.
I was dropped off and didn't have the emotional energy to do much but get in a room and be alone.
This was the sketchiest place I've ever stayed in my life. I tried to pretend I was camping, or doing an anthropological experiment. The toilet never flushed, the smoke detector was yanked off the wall and missing, signs of violence everywhere such as holes in the doors and mismatched patches in the walls. A condom in one drawer (never opened the other one, too scary) and pee on the toilet. Crumbs on the nightstands so they weren't wiped.
The worst part was the smell. It was giving industrial odor killer with remnants of dirty sock, old pee and stale smoke coming from behind. I had a headache from it by 1am and was wheezing in the morning. I came back to my boyfriends family reeking of it, including my suitcase and clothes. It was too sketchy of a place to open the door or window.
Btw, bf conceded he was at fault and offered to reimburse me. So there's that.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sandra K.Lansing, MI01Oct 27, 2023
This is the scurfiest place ever. Very dirty. No towels/washclothes. We asked for them but never got any. There were no pillows when we got there. There were no trash cans. A smoke alarm beeped constantly and they wouldn't do anything about it. Refrigerator stunk so bad. The outlet at the head of the bed was all taped up and dangerous. You can see daylight all the way around the main door. The toilet moved all over when you sat on it. It was absolutely horrible, disgusting, gross. We reserved this online and ended up paying cash when we got there because they never took the online card payment and they said they're card reader was down.

Went to the East Side for a event that was going to be having a late ending; ended up getting less sleep/working longer than I had planned, so while waiting on the event to start, I jumped on booking.com and looked for room fairly close to the venue. I'm not familiar with the East Side in terms of what may or may not be in each particular city. I found a room with a king size bed and a fridge/microwave, nothing special, the photos were what I expected for the price (nothing fancy, but serviceable) and the booking.com price was $69 (normally $86? or around there) so the price was on par for the not "fancy" motels in West Michigan.
And here begins the adventure.
It's late, and I've been up for 21 hours at this point, after having gotten 4.5 hours of sleep the night before. Not an excuse for missing this stuff before I paid, just an explanation on why I did.
The hotel was 25 minutes from the venue, but the other hotel I was going to book that was closer (& probably nicer) ran out of rooms because I was busy talking and didn't book it fast enough. So I get to the hotel and the gentleman behind the counter took 3 minutes to find me in his computer. Not horrible, just an annoyance. He finally finds me, and says he doesn't have the room I booked. If you'll recall, I booked a king size bed. He said he doesn't have any rooms except for one, a queen size. I told him I'd deal, assuming the price would be different. It wasn't. Didn't notice until I got home, but again, it's something I can...overlook. Because I -don't- want to be grumpy & privileged because I'm tired, & I don't really even know what booking.com says about this, if anything. I did ask, and he said the price is the price. So I just agree to the queen size bed for the king size bed price. There -was- a price difference on the website, for the record.
So he stands there and stares at me. He asks if the room will be okay for me. I told him I'm sure it'll be fine. He asks again. I repeat what I said, and add on that I'm just really tired and am not picky (I'm not). He says he doesn't offer refunds so once he runs the card, that's it. He takes my card in exchange for a room key, and points me towards the stairs that this room is at the top of.
My first look is at the bed. Bedspread looked old but not dirty, sheets (on turn down) looked and felt clean. Next check was for bed bugs. With my travel flashlight because the lighting was pretty dim. No bed bugs. Look and see the toilet and the bathtub, don't turn on the light because why would I? I didn't really look at anything else, and I left the room, and walked down the stairs into the office, and as I'm walking towards the counter he is handing me my card and the receipt. I got a bit annoyed, but was going to tell him okay on the room anyway, so just signed where I needed to sign and went to my car to get the one blanket I keep in my car for emergencies.
And then I go to the room and sit on the bed. And despite myself, I start looking around. And I see a dark spot on the chair in the room, and I immediately start to look around the room. And the more I look, the worse it gets. It could've been worse. It shouldn't have been as bad as it was.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dindada D.Detroit, MI14897145Jun 30, 2021
So I check in at 11am and ask for a room on the 1st floor. Got to the room and boy (you see the pics). Asked for towels to clean the toilet and fridge and the clerk GAVE me some towels to do so! Really?! Talk about a DUMP! Never offered to move me or anything. You get what you pay for. $65 for a night. Play at your own risk!

Under no circumstances would I choose to stay here again. Absolutely disgusting. Dirty, gross, and smelly. It's so bad you have to sleep on top of the sheets. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Rooms smell musty probably won't ever stay here again. It's close to the freeway and close to restaurants. Also close to the shopping center that's on school craft road. A lot of stuff here is also out of date.
