Weekday campers will find a very well maintained place to camp in the country. Spacious lots with full hook ups. Access to Hennepin canal towpath for 80 miles for biking.

We stayed here last year on our way to Mackinaw Island in Michigan. We liked it so much we stopped for 2 nights on the way back home.
This year we made our reservation again as we head east on our way to Niagara Falls. Campground is nice and clean and conveniently located off of I80. Joan remembered our group of 7 and was just as nice this year as she was last year!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you Kelly!
I will be looking forward to seeing you again and again! - Travis H.IL, IL01May 26, 2022
The owner is very rude and unprofessional. I was staying here while working in the area so I was paying month to month to month, during my second month there I asked if I would receive any money back if I was to leave 2 week early. I was then cursed at my the owner and kicked out just for asking a simple question. In the owners comment below you will see that I was late on rent. I was only late because it took her those 15 days to finally tell me how much the electric bill was. She is a self entitled woman that has no respect for other people and only cares about how she can make a penny

Travis when you rent an apartment for a month and break a lease you get nothing back.
I gave you the weekly rate when you left and the remainder went towards your electric.
There was nothing left and you still owed 10.00.
Also I would recommend that maybe it would have been different if you weren’t 15 days late with the lot rent anyway.
You should have been asked to leave then.
Anyone in this line of business would have.
So if I could give you a 1 star I definitely would too. - Liz T.Beverly Hills, FL342014May 3, 2021
This is a perfect location for a campground. It is one mile north of interstate 80 (exit 45 = Hwy 40), then one mile west on 1745 Avenue. Our site is a long pull through with a grass side yard. There is plenty of room for Big Rigs and additional vehicles. It was early May and the CG was not completely open. Washrooms were locked due to COVID. Flowering trees are dispersed about the property and they were opening. Very lovely.
The park is in the middle of the Hennepin Canal which provides small boat access to the canal, biking on the tow path or plenty of walking. The canal isn't fully functional but from Hickory Grove you can access to the retention pond and beyond. The tow path is better for dirt or bikes with all terrain tires. I used a long wheel base recumbent and had a rough road in some spots. I observed deer, muskrat, herons, geese, ducks, various birds, and snakes.
We stayed at this RV park in a 38' fifth wheel in May, 2021.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Debbie I.Robertsdale, AL02025Apr 29, 2021
If you're in the area and need a place to stay for a night, a couple of weeks or even a month with an RV this place is a must stay. The host and hostess are friendly and down to earth. The campsites are very spacious (You're not packed in on top of each other). The grounds are beautifully kept and maintained. Trees and bird everywhere. It's quiet and has access to a boat launch and walking path around the canal.

We stayed one night here during our trip from Indiana to Iowa, it was quite park, looked like there were several seasonal campers here. The owners were polite and were standing outside waiting for us to arrive (late arrival). We were escorted to our site by a gentleman on golf cart directing us to swing wide in order for us to make our turn into the area. We would stay again. We have a 41' fifth wheel.

This beautiful, peaceful, and friendly campground. Prices are great, activities on weekends, tons of space, and since it's out in the country the wildlife, stars, and Hennepin Canal add even more to this campground. The owners and other helpers are beyond kind and helpful. We will stay here again.

Terrible Customer Service! I was visiting family for a few hours and upon my departure some very rude woman claiming to be the owner signaled me from the distance and claimed at first I was speeding which is funny because I just was stopped emptying some trash. Then she claims I owed her $5 for entry but I never saw a sign. She asked who I was visiting, I told her family and she responded with " well I won't charge you but I will shake them down later!" If this was the owner, maybe she needs a customer service class....don't support this kind of business and go somewhere where you won't get "shaken down"!

Ryan, we don’t allow unpaid and unregistered guests in our campground. We treat all trespassers the same.
There is a sign at the front of the entrance that indicates to
please stop, come in, or call the number on the sign.
The sign also indicates that you are now on private property.
I am sorry you missed the sign.
There are also signs indicating the speed limit.
We reserve our garbage dumpster for PAID guests, as well.
Ryan, it seems like you might have a case of entitlement going on!
The paid guest knew of the charges that you should have paid!
Next time, I suggest you meet at your house where you can make the rules. - vj c.Chicago, IL033Aug 18, 2019
Very pretty park. Huge trees and green grass. Very well kept grounds. Site level. Borders the Hennepin Canal Trail. Not crowded. Bath/shower house is a bit "rustic" but clean. The owners are very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

We spent Memorial Day weekend here, everybody was friendly and there wasn't a mosquito in site. I asked the New Owners about the Mosquitoes and they said that they had started spraying early in the season for the pests. People were fishing and paddle boating. There was even Karaoke on Saturday night that the campers seemed to Enjoy. I say go check this place out!!!
