My wife and I stayed here the 17th-21st of October, 2018. Reserved 2 rooms for our wedding. One for us and one for our photographer. After we left, they charged my wife's card after we checked out for a 3rd room that we never asked for and never used.
We called to correct it but, the staff refused to refund us for the room they added to our bill (after we had left) and told us, "Well someone has to pay for it."
This is unacceptable for any place of business and I'm in absolute disbelief that this would be allowed at a well known hotel chain.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mandy C.Summerville, SC734Sep 7, 2019
Though I do think the hotel could use a better dehumidifier the staff was amazing. Everyone was extremely nice and accommodating, they helped with anything we needed. The facility manager had floaties on stand by so my 3 yr old could swim and wear herself out. Our trip was for evac purposes so not only was the staff amazing, they made sack lunches for guests in the event they couldn't get out in the storm and get food. The entire hotel has been updated and is kept clean, gym equipment is new and clean. We really appreciated everything during a stressful event.

This hotel was great! I don't understand the bad reviews. It was clean, room smelled clean, bed was comfortable, and breakfast was fine. Front Desk was a little cold and non existent. But no problems. I'd stay again!

If I could give it a half star or even a quarter star I would. This place is down right horrible. The front desk clerk was rude and inattentive and seemed like she couldn't careless about us or the company/hotel as a whole. The "Presidential suite" is sub par with nearly none of the features that Holiday Inn Express claims the room to have. It is large but doesn't feel homely or even comfortable at all. Also the person I spoke with when I reserved the room said it was right near I95. It is not, it's 26 miles from 95 taking us nearly a half hour off our route. Additionally the room is not very clean. The toilet was still gross and dirty from who knows how many previous users. I will never subject my family and friends to this place EVER again!!!

I am an IHG platinum elite member. I was told "I get NO IHG points". The company uses a 3rd party site to make reservations. Then the stay needed to be extended for an extra day. The hotel said nothing is available. The Hotel did not find another room. When we moved to another hotel from a different chain in the same price range and same city it had better food and a better room. I would not normally complain but when things are not right on so many levels people need to know. Other point programs do not care how you made your reservation they still give you points for being at their hotel. This stay was for 5 days the next one is up to 3 weeks. IHG will not see that business. I'm having second thoughts when I make reservations for my self. I am going to look into other points programs. Because of me in 2021 my family has stayed 18 nights in IHG hotels. IHG is not honoring 5 nights because it was setup by a 3rd party website.

The rooms are on par with 3 and 4 star hotels. It's very clean and the amenities are modern and like-new. I've been in renovated rooms that showed cheap upgrades and unskilled labor, but our rooms were very nice from corner to corner. I've stayed in many hotels for work and this visit has made a lasting impression.
Paige, on duty when we checked in at 10pm, was the most friendliest hotel clerk I've met. Not fake nice, genuinely happy to do her job. Our trip to the hotel took over 8 hours instead of 4.5 hours and we were exhausted. She was familiar with my reservation and asked if I wanted to change floors in order to accommodate my request for connecting rooms. Check-in was very quick and she even assisted my husband to take some luggage upstairs. She didn't know it but my husband has a major back issue. With me being pregnant, it makes for some difficulty at times.
Breakfast is typical of the brand. The hostess kept everything stocked and was friendly as well.
It's the first hotel visit I've had in a long while where I have absolutely no complaint. I'm sad we only just discovered it because it's on the PointBreaks list this period.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christopher S.Orlando, FL4153Oct 18, 2011
Horrible. There is a front desk person with long fingernails that has horrible customer service.
Stains in furniture, coach, bed. Disgusting.
Aberdeen is much nicer with better hotels.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jennifer E.Lansdale, PA1618Apr 9, 2015
We paid 6$ for an extra adult in the presidential suite and still had to go request linens. The toilet was unclean. No one was at the front desk at check in and when she finally came after we called out hello she was less the friendly. Two stars for free wifi and breakfast.
