My besties and I stayed here for BAG reunion. Excellent breakfast on the weekend. We had biscuits with sausage gravy, cinnamon rolls were a miss, juice, coffee, water, milk, egg white veggie omelette, pork sausage and turkey sausage, cereal, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms have a microwave AND a refrigerator. (Room 310) clean rooms, great water pressure. Only issue, the sink drain was a little slow, but overall, highly recommend this hotel

We came for the 2024 eclipse. The hotel required a 3 day stay for the event. No other option even if you didn't want to stay three days.
The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was available daily with nice options. I wish there had been some whole milk. Only skim and 2% were available. The room was very spacious but needed some more drawer space. The closet area had 4 hangers and has no door. Small fridge and microwave in the room but on the floor so that i had to bend all the way down to even use them. The desk was good with a nice movable side return. The bathroom was clean. The housekeeping staff were very helpful, polite, and pleasant. I liked that every staff member we encountered greeted us, even just walking down a hallway.
Overall, this was a nice stay. There is some refurbishment occurring but it didn't inconvenience anyone. DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL!!!!!
Confirmed reservations were arbitrarily and abruptly cancelled. A replacement reservation was offered for nearly 7 times the cost of my original reservation. Multiple attempts to contact the general manager by phone were ignored. I did not receive a return call from her until I involved the IHG corporate Customer Service.
The general manager refused to honor my original reservation, stating that it was cancelled due to an error with their system. In reality, I believe the property realized that they could make more money on other reservations for the dates we had reserved, and decided to arbitrarily cancel our reservation. I feel this is an inappropriate action, a poor business practice, and a very negative reflection on the entire IHG group of properties. A good night of sleep is so important. The beds were like sleeping on the floor. The pillows went flat immediately. It was is I had no pillow. At 1:00am I was hoping it was morning so I could just get up and leave. The pain in my back, neck and arms, oh and my head was horrible.
The room was clean. Which is usually number 1 to me. Staff is fine. They do their job.

Nice, clean, updated, accessible hotel. Lots of local businesses nearby. Will definitely stay again whenever I am in the area.

I made a guaranteed confirmed reservation for June 9 for my children driving from Texas to Michigan. Upon arrival the manager, Destiny, refused to honor their reservation. She told them to sleep in the parking lot. IHG Customer Care confirmed the reservation but Destiny refused to answer their calls. Customer care assured me that they would resolve the issue and give my children their room. They were left in an unsafe location, the parking lot, until 4:30am after driving 12 hours. IHG customer care has not provided a resolution and after speaking again with Destiny, she hung up on me. Waiting for corporate to resolve the lack of responsibility and horrible customer service.

Confirmed reservation for high demand day cancelled without notice and price raised to approximately 15 times original rate. One star rating mainly due to the fact that no communication regarding cancellation was ever sent. Very lucky I noticed it and didn't just show up to hotel with confirmation email. Discussed with manager who refused to reinstate original reservation

So I stayed Thursday night at an IHG.com (aka Holiday Inn Express) in Marion, IL. I had drove from Corpus Christi, TX with no sleep and was exhausted. My friend was helping me do some on the fly research to find a decent place to stay and though this hotel was a tad more expensive I selected it due to a higher rating. So here's what I experienced which definitely disappointed and disgusted me. The hotel seemed nice enough and I got my key and put my things on the other bed and basically laid down. I woke a few times to use the bathroom half asleep. When I woke in the morning to get a shower and get back on the road this is what I saw. (See images below). I called my daughter who used to work for this hotel while we lived in Alaska. She says go ask for the housekeeping supervisor which I did at the front desk. I was told she is not there by Katelyn, I than asked to speak with the manager which she said she was. I told her my issues and she says "well you booked w a 3rd party otherwise I'd give you a room discount. You'll have to call them. So I left my number asking her to have the housekeeping supervisor call me. When I left I called my 3rd party (Expedia.com)and sent them the photos and relayed what happened and what katelyn said. So Jessica from Expedia calls her, she straight out lies says I never said that and offered to transfer Jessica to the managers voicemail she told me she's the manager. What's going on here. Most of you who know me know I've been in customer service for a long time and this has to be a top 10 worst experience for me. So frustrated and annoyed with the disgusting room and the liar at this location. So I'm sharing my story.
Update: I did speak again to the assistant manager today Saturday 1/16/21 she tells me she didn't say she wouldn't offer me a discount and this whole he said she said things is frustrating. Bottom line this stay turned out to be terrible and I feel like everyone is trying to pass the buck. Seems typical and I'm frustrated.

As a weekly traveler, I stay in a variety of hotels. This location has raised the bar. From the front desk clerks, to the breakfast hostess and the cleaning staff, I have noticed every staff member takes pride in their area of responsibility. This hotel is immaculately maintained and has a great hot breakfast and very comfortable rooms and bedding. I want to especially commend the breakfast hostess for her professionalism in how she responded to a guest who allowed her young child make a huge mess one morning at breakfast, and then walk off. The hostess never seemed upset or bothered, but simply cleaned up the area.
