Rim Rock Motel

Actually a nice little place. I stayed in room 6 which has the better mattress on the bed. Nice bathroom. I mean your in the middle of no where. And I was actually expecting a lot less.
But I was surprised at how well kept everything was. Definitely recommend

This is a great option to overnight in Alturas. Comfortable, clean, and nicely updated rooms with amenities. Perfect if you are traveling with doggie. Classic updated older property with lots of green space. Lots of sitting options in the expansive yard. Horseshoe pit. Water features. Swings for adults and children. Heck, they even have corrals for your horses in case you ride in.

This motel is in a good location if you are coming for hunting at Modoc National Wildlife Refuse
The room we stayed is no.11, over all is good except for the carpet which is really filthy

- Small but clean rooms. Quaint.
- Not many power points, this is an old motel
- Wifi is weak. Don't expect to upload Facebook photos here.
- No coffee available except the crappy packaged stuff in your room, and the little coffee maker didn't work properly.
- No breakfast
- Really nice feel to the place. Check-in was quick and friendly.

Recommended if you're OK with a lack of amenities.

Oh my goodness what an awesome little gem!!! Room and staff super nice and beautiful grounds. My husband and I played horseshoes that they offer there. If we would have stayed longer I'd use the bbq and more of the property. Thanks for being a true gem at the beginning of our two week vacation. Best hotel the whole trip.

Cute little motel. Very clean and the workers were very friendly and helpful. Not a lot of places to eat that were open at the time we stayed. I would definitely stay here again if we are ever in this neck of the woods again.

This is an older motel that is very clean and well maintained. Everything worked which isn't that common in motel rooms. It was quiet and is an excellent value too. Glad to have coffee maker, fridge, and microwave since there wasn't much in that town food-wise. Would definitely recommend if you have to be in Alturas.
