Now without further ado, here are the hottest products and deals that caught our attention at the show floors.
Acer
The Acer Switch Alpha 2-in-1 convertible notebook features a 12-inch, 10-point touchscreen display, with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,440 pixels. Its marquee feature is the Acer LiquidLoop cooling technology sans active cooling fans. The device is powered by either an Intel “Skylake” Core i7-6500U mobile CPU or an Intel Core i5-6200U chip, coupled with 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The storage options include either a 256- or a 512GB SSD. There’s a single USB 3.1 Gen 1, Type-C reversible port that will allow connectivity of up to 5Gbps for supported devices. The Acer Switch Alpha weighs about 1.2kg (with keyboard), and boasts of a battery life of up to 8 hours! It is priced from $1,498 (from U.P. $1,698).
The Acer Aspire V5-591G notebook features a 6th generation Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU, and supports up to 16GB of DDR4 system memory. The notebook features a 15.6
The 13.3-inch Acer Aspire S 13 notebook is another perennial show favorite; it’s powered by either a Intel Core i5-6200U or Core i7-6500U processor, with 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM. Its LED TFT display has a maximum resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, and comes in two variants; one that supports 10-point, multi-touch capabilities, and one that doesn’t. It sports a 512 SSD for storage, and has a Type-C USB 3.1 Gen 1 port for connectivity. It comes in two colors; obsidian black and white. The black variant features non-touchscreen display, and has a show price of $1,398 (U.P. $1,598), and the white model has the touchscreen display, and it retails at $1,498 (U.P. $1,698)
The Acer Predator G9 is a 15.6-inch gaming notebook with an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD. It may not come with one of NVIDIA’s new 10-series cards, but it still packs a GeForce GTX 970M, which is fairly decent in its own right, especially given its 1,920 x 1,080-pixel display. It is backed by a three-year warranty, and you can get it at $2,698, down from $3,898 usually. In addition, you’ll get a free Predator gaming backpack and a SteelSeries mouse and mousepad.
This Acer T232HL is a 23-inch full HD monitor with IPS technology. Unlike most monitors, it's a touchscreen that supports multi-touch, so it works great with Windows 10. It supports VGA and HDMI connectivity, and has a built-in USB 3.0 hub. Going for $399 at Comex.
AC Ryan
This funky looking box is the Veolo 4K+, a new UHD media player from AC Ryan. Powered by a Cortex A53 quad-core 2GHz processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, it's capable of true 4K decoding. It also sports 3 USB ports. Going for $199 (U.P: $299) and you get a free Veo Navigator. First 50 Citi cardmembers also get a $10 AC Ryan voucher.
Aftershock
For those looking for an affordable gaming desktop, the Aftershock Zeal may be right up your alley. It is powered by an Intel Core i5-6500 processor, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and a Zotac GeForce GTX 1060 3GB card. You’ll also get a free upgrade to a 120GB SSD and 1TB Toshiba HDD, and a copy of anti-virus software. It is selling at just $1,376, down from $1,475 usually.
The Aftershock S-15 is one of the company’s most popular options, and for good reason. The S-15 has been updated with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card, and features an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 120GB SSD and 1TB HDD. The 15.6-inch IPS display has a modest resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which is hardly a challenge for the GeForce GTX 1070. It can be yours for just $2,665, down from $3,033 usually. Aftershock is bundling it with a bunch of freebies as well, including a professional color calibration service, an Aftershock M7 gaming headset, and a Paragon Game Ready pack.
Then there’s the workstation-class Aftershock W-17s, which will tear through pretty much anything you throw at it. It features a desktop Intel Core i7-6700K processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 card. For storage, it has a 120GB SSD and 1TB HDD. The 17.3-inch 1,920 x 1,080-pixel IPS display even supports NVIDIA G-Sync for a smoother gaming experience. You can get it for $3,980, or over $300 off its usual $4,338 price tag. It also comes with a free anti-virus software, a professional color calibration service, an Aftershock M7 gaming headset, and a Paragon Game Ready pack.
Alienware / Dell
The Alienware Aurora R5 can be configured with a wide range of the most powerful graphics options available on the market today. The starting configuration comes with an Intel Core i7-6700 processor, 16GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, and a 1TB HDD. It comes with a pre-installed one-year subscription to McAfee LiveSafe as well. It costs $2,699, but for $3,999 and $4,999, you’ll be able to upgrade to either an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 or 1080 SLI respectively (and also 32GB of RAM and more storage).
On the notebook front, there’s the Alienware 15, which comes equipped with an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, 8GB of memory, and a 1TB HDD. Alienware recently refreshed its 13- to 17-inch notebook line-up, so this is a chance to pick up a previous generation notebook more cheaply. The Alienware 15 comes with one-year of premium support that includes on-site service and accidental damage coverage, in addition to a one-year McAfee LiveSafe subscription and free Alienware Vindicator backpack. It costs $1,999, compared to $2,299 usually.
The Dell Inspiron 3000, priced at $799, features an Intel Core i5-6400 “Skylake” CPU, with 4GB of system memory. Its discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT 705 graphics card offers video connectivity options of a dual-link DVI-I port, a HDMI connector, and a D-Sub port. Do note the maximum resolution supported by the card maxes out at 2,560 x 1,080 pixels; however, the Dell system doesn’t come with a bundled display. It does come with a 1-year subscription to McAfee LiveSafe, and a 1-year InHome Service.
The Dell Inspiron 13 5000 2-in-1 convertible features a 13.3-inch FHD touchscreen. It sports a 6th-gen Intel Core i5-6200U processor, with 8GB of system memory. Its 1TB HDD handles storage while its graphics processing is handled by the CPU’s onboard Intel HD Graphics 520 graphics core. It is priced at $1,099 (U.P. $1,199), and comes with a 1-year ProSupport warranty.
The ever popular Dell XPS 13 ultrabook features an Intel Core i5-6560U processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD. The touchscreen, 13.3-inch, edge-to-edge display has a max resolution of 3,200 x 1,800 pixels; there’s also another variant with a non- touchscreen display. The Dell XPS 13 is going for $2,299, with a 1-year ProSupport warranty and accidental damage coverage. Other free gifts include a 1-year subscription to McAfee LiveSafe, a wireless Bluetooth speaker, and a Dell Type-C to VGA adapter.
The Dell S2316H is a very affordable 23-inch 1080p monitor. It uses an IPS panel, sports integrated speakers, and supports HDMI and VGA connectivity. All for just $169 at Comex.
The new Dell U2717D is a 27-inch monitor with a QHD (2,560 x 1,440) resolution. It comes with plenty of connectivity options, including HDMI/MHL, mini-DisplayPort, and DisplayPort. It also has a built-in USB 3.0 hub and a height-adjustable stand that you can also tilt and swivel. Usually goes for $1,027, but you can get it at Comex for $739.
AOC
This AOC I2476VWM6 is a 23.6-inch full HD monitor that uses IPS panel tech for vibrant colors and wide viewing angles. Going for just $199 at Comex, and comes with a free HDMI cable.
Apple
The iPad Mini 4 is the thinnest and lightest tablet Apple has ever made, and it also has a more powerful processor and much better display than the iPad Mini 3. Grab one from Nubox starting at $548 and get a free tempered glass screen protector, case, USB stand and fan.
Apple's latest iPad takes all of the features of the 12-inch iPad Pro and puts them into a more standard 9.7-inch form factor. The iPad Pro 9.7 is also equipped with the same rear camera you'll find in the iPhone 6s, complete with a true tone dual-LED flash module! For something a little larger and powerful, there’s always the ASUS ROG G752, a 17.3-inch beast that comes with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070. If you’ve got your eye on a compact gaming desktop, there’s always the ASUS ROG G20, which comes equipped with NVIDIA’s new GeForce GTX 1070 Pascal GPU. It features an Intel Core i7-6700 processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 256GB SSD and 2TB HDD. That’s plenty of power in a 9.5L chassis, and for $2,598, you can get it with a free ROG hoodie, a copy of World of Warships, and six months of Data Shield protection. It also comes bundled with a backlit keyboard and mouse.
The ASUS ZenBook UX330UA is a stylish 13.3-inch notebook that tips the scale at 1.2kg, with a thin profile that measures only 13.5mm thick. Launched at Comex today, the ASUS notebook is priced from $1,498, and it features processors from the 6th-gen “Skylake” Intel Core series; an Intel Core i7-6500U, or a Core i5-6200 chip. The notebook supports up to 8GB of SDRAM, for its display, the widescreen IPS LED screen comes in two different screen resolutions; 3,200 x 1,800 pixels (QHD+), and 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (FHD). The ZenBook UX330UA features a 512GB M.2 SSD, and it runs on the 64-bit version of Windows 10 Home.
The ASUS K20CD-SG017T is a sleek and stylish-looking desktop PC that is ideal for a typical SOHO setup. It’s powered by the 6th-gen Intel Core i7-6700 CPU, with 8GB of DDR4 RAM. Storage is handled by its a 128GB SSD, and a 1TB HDD. It sports a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 graphics card, and runs on Windows 10 Home (64-bit). It retails at $1,298, and ships with a wireless keyboard and mouse bundle. You won't find any display models on the show floor, but ASUS' new ZenPad 3 8.0 is available to buy. This 7.9-inch tablet has a 2,048 x 1,536 pixels resolution LED display and is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Grab it at Comex for $499 and get an ASUS ZenWatch 2 for just $199 (usual price: $249)
The ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q is a 27-inch IPS monitor with a 2,560 x 1,440-pixel resolution. It supports G-Sync and has a 165Hz refresh rate. Going for $1,309 and comes with free HDMI cable and World of Warship in-game items.
The ASUS ROG Swift PG248Q is a new arrival. A 24-inch, 2,560 x 1,440-pixel gaming monitor that supports NVIDIA G-Sync, has a 1ms response time, and can be overclocked to 180Hz, it's going for $859 at Comex, and comes with free World of Warship in-game items.
The ASUS RT-AC88U is a dual-band router with a combined throughput of 3100Mbps. It also supports the latest MU-MIMO technology. On the router are eight Gigabit Ethernet ports. You can find it for just S$409 (U.P. S$429) at Suntec L3 (Booth 305) / Hall 403 (Booth 8321) / Hall 601 (Booth 6811). Each purchase will net you a free ASUS Gaming Mouse and a free Samsonite bag too.
The ASUS RT-AC5300 tri-band wireless router is built for high-tech homes with multiple connected devices via its 4 x 4 MU-MIMO technology. The Bose SoundLink III is on offer at the show, and this is going for a show special of $429, some $70 off the usual price of $499, and a good price for these speakers that use four neodymium transducers and a set of dual-opposing passive radiators for impressive sound.
Also on offer, is the SoundLink Mini II. That’s going for $299, down from the usual price of $329. It comes in a choice of carbon or pearl, and comes with a built-in speakerphone that allows you to take calls while your phone is paired to the speaker.

The Casio XJ-V1 is a lamp-free projector, which means little to no maintenance. Creative’s Aurvana ANC headphones are exactly its namesake – active noise cancelling audio cans with 40mm drivers. It has foldable earcups made of memory foam, making it ideal for long-distance travel. The headphones are going for S$169 (U.P. The latest from Creative is up for grabs at the show, and that includes the recently launched iRoar Go. The D-Link DIR-895L is an AC5300-class router with MU-MIMO technology and a total data throughput of 5300Mbps (two 5GHz bands at 1300Mbps and one 2.4GHz band at 600Mbps).It’s going for S$399 (U.P. S$449) at Suntec Hall 603, Booth 6320.
If you prefer an AC1900-class router instead, there’s the D-Link DIR-880L with dual-band support (one 2.4GHz and one 5GHz). It’s only S$185 (U.P. S$199), so you’re saving a ridiculous amount through this router. Find it at Suntec Hall 603, Booth 6320.
If your home needs a range extender for areas with weaker Wi-Fi connectivity, or if you need to feed wireless networks into a remote wired-only device, consider the D-Link DAP-1860. It supports both 2.4Ghz and 5GHz bands with a combined speed up to 2600Mbps. Now it’s S$159 (U.P. S$189) and you can find it at Suntec Hall 603, Booth 6320.
Epson
Ink tank printers promise low total cost of ownership with their refillable tanks. The new Epson L605 duplex 3-in-1 ink tank system printer comes with Wi-Fi. S$419 (U.P. S$449) at Comex, with a S$30 NTUC voucher.
The Epson L220 3-in-1 ink tank system printer helps you save costs with its refillable ink tanks. S$179 (U.P. S$229) at the show, with a free S$20 NTUC voucher.
Epson photo printers are pretty well-known for their quality, and this one's the highest-end one at Comex. The SC-P807 is going for a pretty S$1,825 (U.P. S$1,925), for half that the SC-P407 is there too, at S$849 (U.P. S$899).
The Epson EH-TW5350 is a reasonably priced full HD 3D home theater projector. Offering a 2,200-lumen brightness (both color and white brightness), its lamp can last up to 4,000 hours under Standard mode. Going for $1,299 at Comex (down from the usual $1,499), and you get a free trolley and two pairs of 3D glasses.
Fitbit
The Fitbit Blaze is a sleek fitness-oriented smartwatch that can also track your workouts, monitor your performance stats, and gauge your exercise progress. The PurePulse continuous heart rate monitor gives accurate real-time feedback and multi-sport modes make it ideal for every type of exercise. Get one at Comex for just $268 (usual price: $318) and get a free Nets Flashpay card with $10 preloaded value.
Fujifilm
The new Fujifilm X-E2S is one of their star buys at the show, and this 16.3MP ILC with X-Trans CMOS sensor II comes with a free NPW126 battery, cleaning kit, bottom leather case, two free 16GB SD cards, a photo prints voucher and a free Instax Mini 8. It’s going for just $1,599 after the instant cashback.

The Fuji Xerox DocuPrint P265 dw is an A4 mono laser printer with Wi-Fi, going at S$149 (U.P. S$199), comes with free S$20 NTUC vouchers and a trolley at Comex.

Gigabyte
Gaming ultrabooks are quite a rarity, but that’s exactly what the Gigabyte Aero 14 is. The 14-inch Aero 14 features an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, 8GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M graphics card. It also packs a 256GB SSD, which should be enough for most folks. It is selling for $2,199 now, but if you’re a GamePro member, you can drop the price further to just $1,999.
The 15.6-inch Gigabyte P55W has been updated with NVIDIA’s 10-series cards as well. It utilizes an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD. Graphics processing is handled by an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB card. It is selling for $2,499 now, down from a usual price of $2,699. Since the last show, the HP Envy 750-113d has its price reduced by $200 to a Comex-special of $1,699 (U.P. $1,899). The 15.6-inch LG Gram sports a FHD IPS display, and weighs a mere 980g. At its highest specifications, the notebook will be powered by an Intel Core i7-6500U CPU, with 8GB of system RAM. Its storage needs will be handed by its 512GB SSD. It will cost $2,199. As a show special, you will receive a LG laptop sleeve and a Sound360 bluetooth speaker. If you managed to get a discount coupon from Newstead at L3, Booth 307, you can knock another $200 off the price tag.
The LG G5 is the first modular smartphone on the market, with a variety of 'friends' you can add to it to change its capabilities. The Linksys EA8500 is an AC2600 router with 4x4 MU-MIMO technology, which can support multiple users (be it desktop, phone, or tablet) while maximizing bandwidth usage and cutting down on “waiting time” between each device. The Logitech G810 Orion Spectrum features Logitech’s own Romer-G mechanical switches for a more tactile feel over cheaper membrane switches. At the same time, built-in RGB illumination adds a dash of panache to the keyboard, which can be customized using the Logitech Gaming Software. The Orion Spectrum is available now at $219, down from $259 usually. You’ll also get a free Logitech Z333 speakers with every purchase.
The Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum is based off the older Proteus Core gaming mouse, where the main difference between the two is just the addition of customizable RGB lighting. It also features two-way audio so you can listen to intruders, has night vision, and SD card storage. It’s only S$369 (U.P. S$399) for all these features. The Nighthawk X4S is an AC2600 dual-band router with dynamic QOS abilities to prioritize your home’s network traffic. Nikon
Nikon’s D3300 is one of their star buys of this show, and the 24.2MP DX format camera is being sold as a twin lens bundle with the 18-55 VR lens and the 70-300mm lens for just $899. That’s a pretty good price for this camera that has the ability to shoot at 5fps for 100 shots (in JPEG quality). It comes with a free 16GB SD card, Nikon Messenger Bag, a $50 Takashimaya voucher, and a dry cabinet.
Another good option is the D5500. This also has a 24.2MP DX format sensor, but comes with a 3.2” vari-angle LCD with touch and Wi-Fi built in. It’s bundled with the 18-55mm VR lens and the 55-200mm lens, and comes with the same set of freebies as above for $1,249.

This Philips 19DP6QJNS is a single monitor but it's made up of two 19-inch panels. Good for multi-tasking, the two displays can also be combined to show one desktop. Going for $699 at Comex (U.P: $739), and comes with a free HDMI cable.

Plantronics

Prolink
Prolink’s PSB8601E Sonority Bluetooth stereo speakers are on sale at the show, and this 360o speaker with a class D amplifier and 15 hour battery life is going for $45 instead of the usual price of $69 at the show. That’s a pretty good price for this pocketable speaker that has a frequency range of 80Hz to 20kHz and supports both A2DP and AVRCP.
Otherwise, their star buy for this show is the PSC2601E Travelbeats Portable Stereo speakers. These have a class D amplifier and are going for less than half the usual price of $49 at the show - $22.90.

The Razer Leviathan 5.1 channel surround soundbar is meant to fit neatly under your desktop monitor or living room console. The dedicated subwoofer adds some extra oomph to the low-end, and it can even connect with your smartphone to stream music directly from it. You can have it at just $239, down from $329 usually. And if you’re a GameProSG member, it will cost you only $199.
The Razer Deathadder Chroma features a 10,000DPI optical sensor, and the Chroma lighting gives you your pick of up to 16.8 million customizable colors. Sony
Sony has dubbed the SRS-HG1 the “World’s Smallest High-Resolution Portable Speaker”, and at just 204x62x60 mm it certainly seems the part. These are HRA capable portable speakers that have LDAC and multi-room capabilities, and boast a battery life of 12 hours. They’re going for $309, (after $50 cashback) at the show.
Also available, is the SRS-X11. These ultra-portable Bluetooth speakers are available in a choice of five colors, and have a battery life of 12 hours. These are going for $89, down from the usual price of $99.
For a more heavy duty solution, look to the HT-NT5 soundbar. This is going for $1,049 at the show, and is High-Res Audio capable. It is also Wi-Fi capable and so offers easy access to music content from the web and via Google Cast.
The recently launched A7 II camera is one of the better options at this show. It’s going for $2,349 with the SEL2870 lens, and you’ll get a free battery thrown in. You’ll also have the option to purchase selected E-mount lenses at a discounted purchase-with-purchase price. For example, you can get the Zeiss Vario-Tessar T* FE24-70mm F4 ZA OSS for just $1,349, $250 off the usual price of $1,599.
The DSC-RX100 III features a 20.1MP 1.0” Exmor R CMOS sensor, and a f/1.8-f/2.8 Zeiss Vario Sonnar T* 24-70mm lens. This is also on offer at the show, going for $949 instead of the usual $1,199, and you’ll get a free 16GB memory card.
Otherwise, look to the A6000. This APS-C mirrorless camera may be a generation old, but it still has an autofocus time of just 0.06s, and is capable of up to 11fps continuous shooting. It’s powered by a 24.3MP Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor, and is going for just $899 with the SELP1650 lens. You’ll also get a 16GB memory card, spare battery, and carrying case thrown in.

The Bravia Z9D is a high-end 4K TV that Sony has just announced in July, but the 65-inch model is already here at Comex. The Toshiba Canvio Alumy portable drive now comes in gold color. The portable 2TB HDD retails at $149, and it comes with a free carrying pouch to protect your drive from any scratches.
