Cuisance talks failed medical for Leeds (Foot Mercato)

Olympique Marseille midfielder Michaël Cuisance opened up about the failed medical exam that prevented him from transferring to Leeds United. Despite reports of a foot issue, Cuisance downplayed any ailment still seemed confused at to why Leeds backed out.

“There was no problem with the medical. The (exam) with Marseille went very well, I am in form and ready to play. At Leeds, there was no problem from my side,” said Cuisance. “Here, I passed it and I’m in good shape.”

Cuisance’s loan from Bayern Munich to Marseille should be a good opportunity for the 21-year-old to really break through and establish himself as a regular starting player.

It was another disappointing result for Germany and yet another ultimately disappointing performance. Here are some quick hitters on the match:

• Kai Havertz was really one of the lone bright spots for Germany. With two assists, the 21-year-old Chelsea man looks like he is rounding into form.
• The German defense was absolutely dreadful. Back three? Back four? It doesn’t matter...Joachim Löw needs to figure out a plan and find a set of defenders who aren’t prone to being bad.
• Julian Draxler’s goal was really, really slick.

• Offensively, Germany had some good ideas and, at times, some good execution. The defense, though...it’s just bad.
• In the end, it was a friendly that featured some B or even C level squad members, but the inability to close out a game no matter who is on the field.
• If Löw cannot rally his troops for better showings against Ukraine and Switzerland, the cries for his demise will only get louder. Lothar Matthäus, for one, is clearly unhappy with the current state of affairs:

Could Zirkzee still go? (Tz)

Tz is speculating that Bayern Munich could still loan out Joshua Zirkzee:

In some countries the transfer window is still open. For example, in Switzerland (October 12th) or in Russia (October 17th). If Bayern really want to lend Zirkzee, there is still some time. Otherwise, the 19-year-old will probably end up in the stands with the professionals. The alternative would be many appearances with the second team in the third division.

The FCB bosses are certainly hoping for a model similar to that of Adrian Fein, who could even gain experience in the Europa League with Eindhoven. In Switzerland, the Young Boys Bern would qualify for the EL - with Gianluca Gaudino, a former Munich player who is also under contract there.
