Torquigener randalli
RANDALL'S PUFFER
Rarely seen among mud or sand at deeper scuba depths where it feeds
upon invertebrates. Remains buried with just the eyes exposed
during periods of inactivity. Mass settlement of juveniles
recorded along O�ahu's north shore in 2009. White reticulated
with brown, a dark brown lateral stripe, and bar below the eye.
The Floral Puffer has a lateral
stripe of yellow spots.
Attains 5 inches. Endemic to Hawai'i. |
