Ticketmaster is your one-stop access to almost any live event. Tickets to concerts, arts, theater and sporting events can be pricey, but there are ways to save.

From giant arenas to local venues, if you want a ticket to a show you’ll probably have to buy it through Ticketmaster. Being the one-stop shop for tickets to so many events and shows has its advantages, but the convenience can come at a price. Luckily, it isn’t hard to find the right seat at the right price.

1. Shop for tickets early

Your best bet to find the tickets you want for the lowest price is to buy them when they first go on sale. This will give you access to the most tickets, at the widest pay tiers, at the face value prices. You’ll be able to compare prices and seat locations and make the right choice for you. As tickets sell out, you’ll have fewer choices and may have to pay a higher price for resale tickets if the show sells out.

How do you get tickets faster on Ticketmaster?

The last thing you want is to miss out on the perfect seats or for the show to sell out. To increase your chances of getting your tickets, make sure you already have a Ticketmaster account and confirm that your credit card information is still valid. If the show’s tickets are about to go on sale, sign in at least 10 minutes early get into Ticketmaster’s Smart Queue for the show.

The Ticketmaster mobile app can also provide a quick and seamless buying experience. With the app, you can save all your account information in the app and receive announcements on upcoming shows you’re interested in.

2. Shop Ticketmaster presales

One way to shop for tickets early is through presales. Ticketmaster presales allow you to purchase tickets to events before the tickets go on sale to the general public. During the presale, you will be provided with a code to enter that allows you to purchase tickets during the presale. Keep in mind that not every event or artist will have presale tickets.

How do I get access to Ticketmaster presales?

You access Ticketmaster presales by following artists, venues or Ticketmaster on social media. If you have a American Express or Citi credit card, you may have access to presales for events and experiences. Artists can also make presale tickets available to members of their fan club.

Coupon codes allow you to receive a discount on your purchase. The discounts can be significant, from a percentage off the purchase price to buy-one-get-one-free deal. You enter the coupon code during checkout and you’ll be able to see your discount before you finalize the purchase.

You can find the latest coupon codes here. You can also find coupon codes on Ticketmaster’s deals page, by following an artist, venue or even Ticketmaster on social media, or by signing up for Ticketmaster’s newsletters or receiving push notifications on their app.

4. Sign up for Ticketmaster favorites and subscriptions

You can personalize the notifications by adding favorites to your account. By opting in, you’ll receive information on upcoming shows, tour announcements and ticket discounts and promotions.

How do I add a favorite artist on Ticketmaster?
