LA Chargers player Justin Herbert and other staff and players were evacuated from the Silverado fire, according to an NFL story Tuesday.
According to the NFL story, "Herbert told The Dan Patrick Show on Tuesday morning that he currently was in a hotel due to the fire."
The Silverado Fire is now more than 12,000 acres and 5 percent contained Tuesday afternoon. Tens of thousands have evacuated since the fire began to burn Monday morning in Orange County.
Meanwhile, SoCal Edison says its equipment might have started Silverado Fire.
Nearby, the Blueridge Fire is burning more than 15,000 acres and 0 percent contained.
