Promote your gadget. One easy way is to add it to your website or blog. Encourage your supporters to add your gadget to their own webpages and iGoogle homepages. |
- A blog, RSS news feed, or YouTube video channel if you'd like to make a more dynamic gadget
- A small image or logo representing your organization (smaller than 50 pixels high by 500 pixels wide)
- The ability to save and upload a simple file of xml code (which we'll generate) to your website

- Get donations by adding a Google Checkout donations button to your gadget.
- Use your gadget to keep your supporters up-to-date with what's happening in your organization and your cause. For example, share up-to-the-minute updates from your organization's blog. (You can set up a blog for free on Blogger.)
- Engage your supporters by showing photos and videos right in your gadget. (You can host photos and videos for free on Picasa and YouTube.)
- Share the latest news about your cause, drawing upon thousands of news sources from a Google News feed.

Once my gadget is finished, how will users discover it?
There are many ways to promote your gadget. You can broaden your gadget's reach by submitting your gadget to the iGoogle directory, posting prominent promotions for your gadget on your own homepage, and including links to your gadget in your organization's newsletters and collateral. Once a user has added your gadget to their iGoogle homepage once, they'll see it for as long as they choose to keep it.
