Think of Google for Nonprofits as your "main hub" – it is the umbrella account used to verify your organization’s eligibility for the program and activate various products. Getting a Google for Nonprofits account does not mean you’re automatically approved for all product offers. However, once a product is activated, you will typically log directly into that specific product (such as the Google Admin console for Google Workspace or the Google Ads portal for Google Ad Grants) to manage your users and day-to-day settings. Notably, the administrative email addresses for your main hub and your individual products can be different.

Changes happen within organizations and we understand that. If you need access to a Google for Nonprofits account managed by someone else, you can submit a request through the "Get started" flow on the Google for Nonprofits website. The current administrators have 14 days to respond; if they do not, a Google representative will review your request. Learn more about Google for Nonprofits account access.
Google Ad Grants accounts are typically deactivated for policy violations, such as adding a domain you have not been approved for. To get reactivated, you must audit your account to ensure it meets all current requirements—including having at least two active ad groups per search campaign and specific location targeting—and then submit a reactivation request. Learn more about Ad Grants policy violations and how to fix them.
To confirm your organization's nonprofit status, our verification partner, Goodstack, needs to match your application details with official records. This typically requires a unique identification number issued by your country's relevant government or registration body. This depends on your country; in the United States, this is your Employer Identification Number (EIN). Learn more about how to find your organization’s registration number.
Verification of your nonprofit status and affiliation is performed by our validation partner, Goodstack. This process typically takes between 2 and 14 business days. You can check your status at any time by signing into your Google for Nonprofits account.
If you have any questions or run into issues during the verification process, you can contact Goodstack directly. Please review the eligibility guidelines and try to address any issues before submitting a new request.
This decision occurs when the relationship between your domain and your registered nonprofit is unclear. We want to ensure that nonprofits are using Google Workspace for their organization’s primary mission and activities. To move forward, you should either include your organization's official details on the domain's website or send a confirmation email from an official domain address. Once these details are included on your website, please request activation again.
You should never create a standard paid Google Ads account. Instead, wait for an invitation to a specific Ad Grants account. Visit our Ad Grants setup guide for more information.
